I love cites but I find the sky above the streets more interesting to photograph. I love the blue, especially in Montréal skies, and how the building cut it into abstracts, like a geometric painting. In MTL, even in the winter the sky can be cloudless ocean over your head. Where buildings and sky meet is where my camera likes to go.
Montréal also has a pretty badass winter, and there are days that are wet, snowy and cloudy, but almost never a day that isn’t somehow interesting. If I look up.
Beautify? Mood? The abstract image that forms when gray shapes slam into blue? All of that. And then, of course, I started noticing skies everywhere.
